ACTS Healthcares supported living service is for adults aged 18 years of age and above who need care, support and accommodation as they manage their disabilities and or mental health challenges. As a person-centred service, we focus on assisting those who have been diagnosed with special needs, such as those with learning disabilities and or mental health illnesses to work towards independence and reach their full potential. We welcome individuals who are needing one to one support or just a helping hand to live their lives as independently as possible within the community. The team at Acts Healthcare Ltd specialise in caring for those who have experienced or are experiencing the following challenges: Autism Learning Disabilities Unstable Borderline Personality Disorders Mood disorders (such as depression or bipolar) Anxiety disorders. Psychotic disorders (such as schizophrenia) Trauma-related disorders (such as post-traumatic stress disorder)
For those who come to stay at our accommodation, we make every effort to ensure that each individual has the opportunity to experience the chance to live a full and happy life. We embrace the principles of Equality and Diversity and welcome service users from diverse ethnic, cultural, religious and sexuality backgrounds. Where they have fallen vulnerable to mental health episodes, we focus on recovery. As part of our contribution, we aim to provide a warm, friendly environment which is both safe and culturally sensitive. We understand that due to complexity in needs, some of our service users may demonstrate challenging behaviour and all staff are trained to support service users in addressing issues pertinent to their specific needs.
We also work within each service users’ individual Care Support Plans which is reviewed regularly and amended as appropriate

Those who stay with us are helped to develop their social skills through the group living experience as well as involvement in community activities whilst encouraging them to feel part of the group and able to own and build on their experiences. We believe that this will help with recovery for those who are able to reintegrate into society as independent thriving individuals.
We provide therapeutic support for everyone who spends time in our service and we actively encourage every service user who is willing and able to engage for their best interests. Our approach is to use both group and individual one to one discussion, providing a qualified therapist as required.
